Historical detective.
1649. A new voivode, Adam Kysil, arrives at Kyiv Castle on Shchekavytska Hill. He was accompanied by Jan Looz, an assistant and translator. Kisel's task was to negotiate with the Khmelnytsky insurgent Cossacks. Meanwhile, strange things are happening in the Lower Town - Podil. Young people are disappearing from people. Residents complain to the authorities, ie the voivode. They suspect that gypsies are stealing or that children are being abducted by local bandits who are fishing in the local forests and operating on major roads. The children are allegedly being sold into slavery to the Turks. Jan Looz takes on this case. But first he has to find out - who killed - the castle manager. After all, he had to meet high guests and did not do so…
