"Land" is a novel by the Ukrainian writer Olga Kobylyanska, published in 1902. The book tells the story of a young woman, Maria Pavlivna, who decides to connect her life with a peasant peasant boy, Oleksandr Pacei. The author depicts the realities of Ukrainian village life at the beginning of the 20th century, showing the life principles and values of the peasant environment. Due to the choice of Maria Pavlivna, she is faced with changes in her life and the attitude of those around her. "Land" is a symbol of native land, national consciousness and national identity. This book is one of the most outstanding works of Ukrainian literature, its value lies in the fact that it shows the author's deep understanding and insight into the spirit of the people and reflects life issues that remain relevant to this day.
