Printing of a collection of poems from the 1st copy

• General Requirements
  - File format — PDF, single-page (not spreads). 
  - All pages must be compiled into a single file in the correct order.
  - The cover must be submitted as a separate file (PDF / PNG / JPG). 
  - Color model — CMYK for accurate color reproduction. 
  - Resolution — 300 dpi for high-quality text printing. 
  - The layout must be free of crop marks, watermarks, comments, and unnecessary elements.
• Formats and sizes
  - We typically publish poetry books in A5 and B5 formats, and less frequently in A4.
  - If your layout has non-standard proportions, we will help you choose the optimal option or scaling.
• Recommended margins
  - Inner margin (near the spine): 15–20 mm — so that the text is not lost in the binding area. 
  - Outer margins: 10–15 mm — for neat placement of the poetic text on the page. 
  - Bleed: 3–5 mm on each side — for proper printing without white edges. 
  - Safe zone: at least 8–10 mm from the page edges for all important elements.
  Adhering to these indentations ensures that the pages look neat and that the poetic text is rendered correctly when printed.
• Technical specifications
  - Color model: CMYK for accurate print reproduction. 
  - Resolution: 300 dpi (optimal for clear text). 
  - File format: Print-ready PDF. 
  - The layout must be free of crop marks, watermarks, comments, and unnecessary elements.

  - It is recommended to embed fonts or convert them to curves.

  Embossing allows you to highlight the title, the author’s name, or other design elements, making the collection more expressive and unique.
• Lamination
  Lamination is used to protect the cover of a poetry collection and ensure its durability:
  - Gloss lamination — enhances colors, making the cover brighter and more vivid. 
  - Matte lamination — gives a subtle, elegant look and reduces glare. 
  Lamination also protects the cover from scratches, moisture, and wear, keeping the publication looking neat.
• Important details
  - In poetry, it is important to maintain proper indents and line spacing for comfortable reading. 
  - Avoid placing text too close to the page edges or the spine area. 
  - Allow 3–5 mm for trimming, and account for a possible technical margin of error of 1–2 mm. 
  - Small decorative elements and thin fonts may lose clarity after printing. 
  - It is recommended to check text alignment, especially with non-standard authorial formatting of poems.
