Production of art books for the presentation of projects

An artbook layout requires careful preparation, as the print quality, color accuracy, and overall impression of the publication depend on it. To ensure the production process goes smoothly and without technical revisions, please take into account the basic layout requirements.

• General Requirements 
  - Only fully prepared layouts are accepted for printing; you can also order typesetting or design for your future artbook.
  - The interior must be submitted in PDF format, page by page (without spreads).
  - If the layout is prepared as spreads, we can correctly split it into individual pages (service cost: 150 UAH).
  - The cover is accepted in PDF / PNG / JPG formats (the best option is PNG for maximum quality).
  - Multi-page files should be submitted as a single document with the correct page order.
  - For artbooks bound with staples, the number of pages must be a multiple of 4; otherwise, blank pages may appear at the end.
  Compliance with these requirements ensures a high-quality artbook—sharp printing, accurate color reproduction, and a neat appearance on every page.
• Formats and Sizes
  - A4, A5, and B5 formats are available for artbook production.
  - If your layout has custom dimensions, we can help you choose the optimal format or scale it correctly without losing quality.
• Recommended margins 
  - Inside margins: at least 10–15 mm.
  - Indentation from the spine: 10–20 mm (for multi-page art books);
  - Top and bottom margins: at least 10 mm.
  - Page numbers and headers/footers: place no closer than 8–10 mm from the edges.
  Adhering to these margins ensures that text and key elements remain within the safe zone and will not be trimmed or partially hidden in the binding area.
• Technical specifications 
  - Color model: CMYK.
  - Maximum file size: up to 1000 MB.
  - Optimal image resolution: 300 dpi for clarity and detail.
  - The layout must be prepared without crop marks, watermarks, comments, or extraneous elements.
  - It is recommended to convert all fonts to curves to avoid display issues during printing.
  Adherence to these specifications ensures consistent print quality and compliance of the artbook with printing standards.
• Cover
  - Art books use a hardcover for maximum durability and protection of the publication.
  - Place text, logos, and other important elements no closer than 10–15 mm from the edges to avoid them being trimmed off after printing.
  - Text can be placed on the spine provided the block is thick enough (at least 10 mm).
• Lamination
  - Glossy — default (included in the price).
  - Matte — +15 UAH/copy.
• Important details
  - Be sure to include a 3–5 mm bleed on each side—this is necessary for proper trimming of the layout without white edges.
  - Minor technical printing and cutting tolerances of 1–2 mm are allowed, so it is not recommended to place important elements right up against the edges.
  Following these requirements will help maintain the artbook’s neat appearance and avoid potential defects in the final print run.
