Preparing a catalog for printing is an important step, and to ensure everything turns out as you envisioned, please take note of the basic layout requirements. They will help you avoid technical revisions and speed up the printing process.

• General Requirements
  - The interior of the catalog must be submitted in PDF format, page by page (not as spreads). 
  - If the layout is created as spreads, we can split it into individual pages (service fee: 150 UAH). 
  - The cover is accepted in PDF / PNG / JPG formats (PNG is recommended for better quality). 
  - Multi-page catalogs must be submitted as a single file with the correct page order. 
  - The total number of pages must be even. 
  - For saddle-stitching, the number of pages must be a multiple of 4; otherwise, there may be blank pages at the end.
• Dimensions and formats for catalog printing
  - The most commonly ordered format is A4; for a more compact edition, A5 or B5.
  - If the layout has non-standard proportions, we will select the optimal format or perform proper scaling for printing.
• Recommended margins
  - Leave 15–20 mm in the spine area to avoid text loss during binding. 
  - A margin of 10–15 mm is recommended along the outer edges to ensure elements are placed safely. 
  - Be sure to allow 3–5 mm for trimming on each side. 
  - Place important content no closer than 8–10 mm from the edge of the page.
  Adhering to these margins ensures a neat appearance for the catalog and a professional print result.
• Technical specifications for the catalog layout for printing
  - Color model: CMYK for accurate color reproduction in print.
  - It is recommended to convert all fonts to curves. 
  - Required bleed margins: 3–5 mm on each side. 
  - All important elements should be placed within the safe zone. 
  - The file must contain pages in the correct sequence (page-by-page).
  It is recommended to avoid complex graphic effects whenever possible, particularly shadows, gradients, and transparency.
• Cover
  - Place important elements (title, logo, contact information) no closer than 10–15 mm from the edges. 
  - Background images may extend beyond the trim line with a 3–5 mm margin. 
  - It is recommended to avoid overloading the design with small details to maintain readability. 
  - For multi-page catalogs, consider possible misalignment during binding, especially in the spine area. 
  A properly prepared cover ensures a professional look for the catalog and enhances its visual appeal.
• Lamination
  - Glossy — default.
  - Matte — +15 UAH/copy.
• Important details
  - Be sure to allow for a 3–5 mm bleed on each side to avoid white margins after trimming. 
  - A technical margin of error of 1–2 mm is possible during printing and trimming, so important elements should not be placed close to the edges. 
  - In the spine area, leave sufficient inner margin so that text and images do not “bleed” into the binding. 
  - Small fonts and thin lines may lose clarity, so use them with caution. 
  - Solid black fills and large dark backgrounds should be checked for correct reproduction in CMYK.
