Printing of custom notebooks, with logo, branded

Designing notebooks with a logo, preparing the layout for printing, and key considerations before sending the file to the printer for production. To avoid technical revisions and speed up the printing process, please take note of the basic layout requirements.

• General requirements 
  - We accept both ready-made layouts for printing and can assist with their development and design according to your needs.
  - The interior content must be submitted in PDF format, page by page (not as spreads).
  - If the layout is prepared as spreads, we can split it into individual pages (service fee: 150 UAH).
  - The cover is accepted in PDF / PNG / JPG formats (we recommend PNG for better print quality).
  All important elements should be placed within the safe zone, taking into account the bleed.
• Formats and sizes
  - A5 and B5 formats are most commonly chosen for notebooks with a logo; the A4 format is used less frequently.
  - In the case of non-standard layout proportions, we will help you select the optimal size or scale the design correctly.
• Recommended margins
  - For notebooks with a logo attached using adhesive, a spiral, or thread, we recommend an inner margin of 15 mm from the spine and outer margins of at least 10 mm.
  These margins ensure that the logo, text, and other important elements remain within the safe zone and do not fall within the trim area or the binding area.
• Technical specifications
  - Color model: CMYK.
  - Recommended resolution: 300 dpi.
  - Maximum file size: up to 1000 MB.
  - The layout must be prepared without crop marks, watermarks, comments, or unnecessary elements.
  - It is recommended to convert fonts to curves.
  We also recommend avoiding complex effects, shadows, and transparencies, as they may not render correctly during printing.
  For notebooks with a logo, soft and hard covers are available—the choice depends on the desired durability, appearance, and budget of the product.
• Cover: 
  Layout recommendations:
  - Place text and key elements no closer than 10–15 mm from the edges.
  - On the side of the spiral binding (on the side or top, depending on the binding type), leave an additional 10–15 mm area for perforation and holes.
  - Avoid placing important information in the binding area, as part of the image may be lost after production.
• Lamination 
  - Glossy — standard option (used by default).
  - Matte — +15 UAH per copy.
  For the best results, we recommend avoiding overly dark and dense fills, as they may lose detail after printing.
• Important details 
  - Be sure to leave a 3–5 mm bleed.
  - The possible technical margin of error for printing and cutting is 1–2 mm.
  For spiral-bound notebooks, please account for unprinted areas, which may result in white margins at the binding points.
• Additional services
  Notebooks can include additional options, designer dividers, and colored inserts, making the product more personalized and user-friendly.
  - Layout separation for spreads — 150 UAH.
  - Adding a ribbon (fabric bookmark for quick access to the desired page) + 40 UAH.
  - Cover personalization (text, logo) and decorative elements are available upon individual request.
